Doughnut Miss this Trail - July 9, 2020
Glazed, powdered or iced—whatever your preference this one-of-a-kind motorcoach trip has the donut for you. Bring your sweet tooth and print your passport as we travel along the Butler County Donut Trail, which has been featured by Food & Wine Magazine, USA Today, Byways Magazine, NBC Travel and many other fine media outlets. The trail is comprised of 12 mom-and-pop donut shops, who have over 385 years of donut making experience.
Departure City: Worthington
Making donuts is a labor of love! Bakers mix, proof, roll, hand-cut, fry and decorate the desserts with care—all before these tasty treats are placed inside a bakery case. We’ll go behind-the-scenes to see these donut artisans hard at work at two Donut Trail shops: Holtman’s Donuts and Jupiter Coffee and Donuts.
Who says you can’t eat dessert before dinner? After a few donuts, we head to Jungle Jim’s, where the Cooking School will perform a private group cooking demonstration. Dig in to a wonderful 4-course meal with a glass of wine. After dinner, enjoy some free time to shop at Jungle Jim’s International Market. Locally grown, but internationally known, the market has more than 500,000 square feet combined, hundreds of thousands of products, and over 70 countries represented. It’s a destination for foodies, tourists and weekly shoppers alike.
